Lentils and beans can be cooked in advance: Place 120 g dried lentils, 120 g dried beans, ½ tsp salt and 1200 g water in mixing bowl, cook for time indicated on packet/100°C/speed 1 . Drain in Varoma dish and use.

Nutritional yeast is not to be confused with brewer's yeast or baking yeast. It is a natural flavor booster that lends a cheesy, nutty or savory flavor to many dishes. Available in the natural food section of your supermarket or in health food stores.
This soup is served at 50°C which is only a moderate heat. If you prefer a hotter soup you can prolong cooking time and increase temperature in step 3. Alternatively, you can transfer soup into a large bowl, allow to cool to room temperature, then place into the fridge and serve chilled.
