Blackcurrant Cordial

★ 4.923 ratings

Blackcurrants are one of the few fruits that will grow in Britain’s mild, rainy climate, and they’ve been doing so since the 17th century. During the Second World War, when other sources of vitamin C were difficult to get hold of, almost the entire crop was taken by the government and made into cordial for children throughout the country. This version tastes so much of the fresh fruit, you’ll only ever want to make your own from now on!
